Patriot Bank Minnesota is proud to offer our customers our Internet Banking product.

We are using the latest secure firewall system, 128-bit encryption, Secure Socket Layer (SSL), user id and passwords to protect the accounts and information for you, our customers, from any unauthorized access. We realize these steps can slow the response time for your Internet banking access and retrieval. However, we believe a slower response time is a small inconvenience to achieve the best security and encryption possible.

There are three components to our security. Each component acts as a layer of protection to safeguard sensitive data from unauthorized access.

Passwords
Patriot Bank Minnesota requires a minimum twelve (12) digit password. The minimum requirement is for three (3) capital letter, three (3) lower case letters and six (6) numbers. You may have a maximum of seventeen (17) characters in your password.

You are responsible for the safekeeping of your password. You agree not to disclose the password. A separate password is kept for each signer on an account so there is no need to reveal your password to another signer.

Please keep your password secure, and change the password if you ever suspect your password has been compromised. You may change the password at any time and as often as you would like.

Encryption
Once you click on Internet Banking, you enter a secure environment. Patriot Bank Minnesota uses 128-bit encryption through VeriSign. You may click on the "VeriSign Secure Site Seal" on our public web or the sign on screen to Internet Banking to verify our 128 bit encryption Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. You must have Windows Explorer 6.0 or greater with 128-bit encryption to access PBMINN-NET.

Firewall
The Internet Banking server is protected by a firewall. The firewall is set up to reject any unauthorized traffic. This reemphasizes the importance of your user id and password combination, which is the only legitimate entry to the program. Additionally, the firewall uses Network Address Translation (NAT) to present one IP address to the outside world and hide the internal IP address.

Should you have any questions concerning the security of our Internet Banking product, please contact the bank at (651) 785-9320.
